Running Late Please remember that if you are running late we understand. We need you to call and let us know. We honor a 30 minute grace period on all reservations. After 30 minutes your reservation is no longer vaild.
No Smoking Policy Out of consideration for other zoo visitors and the potential choking hazard that cigarette butts present to the animals, we maintain a no smoking policy on zoo grounds. Smokeless tobacco is permitted. Food & Drink Policy Food and drink can be brought into our facility. However, we do not allow alcoholic beverages or glass containers. No littering, please!
Weather Please dress for the weather. In April and May it is cooler in the mornings and gets hotter as the day goes on. In the event of rain we will continue the tour or will try and wait out the weather. Once a tour has started Brights Zoo will not give out rain checks or refunds. Please Do Not Feed The Animals! The animals at Brights Zoo are fed a nutritious diet designed specifically for their needs. Please do not spoil their supper!
Animal Exhibition Policy Brights Zoo does not guarantee that all animal exhibits are open during each visit. Exhibits may be closed due to temperature extremes, precipitation, or other weather-dependent factors. And just like people, our resident animals get sick, injured, or sometimes just need a day off!
Groups All tours at Brights Zoo are led by one of our zoo guides. We ask that everyone stay with their group at all times. Your guide will make sure you get to see everything and also give you plenty of time to take pictures.
Lorikeet Landing For groups larger than 60 people we will not do Lorikeet Landing. We typically can only put 15 people at a time in with the lorikeets and each group stays for 7 to 10 minutes. By the third or fourth group of people the lorikeets are full and will provide less interaction for the remaining people. Lorikeet Landing closes every day at 4:00 PM.
Exhibits Please do not place or throw anything in any of the exhibits. Throwing rocks into exhibits can harm the animals and sticking your hands in exhibits could harm you.
Running Please no running on the zoo grounds. The fast movement will frighten the animals and could cause harm to them. You will also be spending part of your day walking through gravel paths and could injure yourself if you were to fall.
