Brights Zoo is hiring dependable, energetic team members to support public operations during our 2026 season. This is a seasonal, guest-facing position focused on daily operations and visitor experience.
This is NOT an animal care position.
We are seeking individuals who are reliable, professional, and willing to work full operating-day shifts — especially on weekends.
Interview Dates: February 25 – February 28
Position Overview
This role supports the daily operation of the zoo’s public areas. Team members are responsible for opening and closing procedures, assisting guests, supporting concessions, and helping maintain a safe and welcoming environment throughout the zoo.
Daily responsibilities may vary based on operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Open and close public areas of the zoo
- Greet and assist guests throughout the day
- Work in concessions and assist with guest purchases
- Help monitor guest activity within zoo grounds
- Maintain a clean and organized public environment
- Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors
- Address unsafe guest behavior when necessary to protect animals and guests
This is an active position requiring consistent walking throughout the zoo grounds and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Applicants with limited weekend or Sunday availability may not be considered.
Position Details
- Seasonal employment: March 1 – December 1
- Full operating-day shifts required (no half-day scheduling)
- Typical schedule:
- Peak season: approximately 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Slower season: approximately 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Weekend availability required, including Sundays
- Holidays required based on operating schedule
- Employee discount included
- Pay: $13 per hour starting wage
