– Also known as the sulfur-breated toucan or rainbow-billed toucan
– Travel in flocks of 6 to 12 adults, and roost together in holes of tree trunks
– To conserve space, it rests its beak on its back with the tail folded over its head
– The large bill is actually very light; made of keratin, the hollow bill is supported by rods of bone
– Its call is a “creek, creek”, which sounds similar to that of a treefrog
– Is a poor flyer, and moves from tree to tree mostly by hopping
– Diet consists primarily of fruit, but will also eat eggs, insects, tree frogs and small lizards
